dSPACE FunctionReplacer Tool

Introduction

This Application Note describes the installation and usage of the dSPACE FunctionReplacer Tool.

ControlDesk^® 2.3 (Release 3.5) introduces a new set of functions and properties replacing others known from previous releases. These existing functions or properties are now marked obsolete and will not be supported in future versions. This affects user Python code and makes it necessary to replace calls to obsolete functions and properties by the newly introduced ones.

This circumstance makes it inevitable to migrate existing user Python code in the long run. To minimize the effort of migration for users, dSPACE provides this tool to help replacing obsolete function calls with the latest ones.
