- TargetLink Basic
This 2-day course covers production code generation with Targetlink: from a Simulink®/Stateflow® model, to production quality embedded C code. It marks an important step of the V-cycle, which is rapidly becoming a standard for the development of automotive ECUs.
Day one of the course introduces basic Targetlink usage. It provides basic tool overview and sufficient information for new users who are assigned small tasks under supervision of advanced users. Day two introduces advanced features that are required for successful completion of a medium size production intent project. Both days include presentations alternating with a number of hands-on exercises.
Participants
- All Software developers, system engineers, control strategy engineers and other engineers involved in the software development process
- Experience with C programming and embedded systems is very useful
- Working knowledge of Simulink and MATLAB® is required
This course is targeted towards software developers, but is also useful to engineers preparing models to be used later for autocoding.
Goals
- Get an overview of Targetlink and Autocode generation
- Generate embedded C code from a Simulink/Stateflow Diagram
- To understand C code testing and verification in a Simulink GUI environment
- Customize and tune Targetlink code
- Produce C code to fit specific interface requirements
- Use signal based and worst case range scaling of fixed-point code
- Understand and use dSPACE Data Dictionary
- Understand and use multirate code generation
- Understand and use incremental code generation
- Understand OSEK OS integration capabilities
