dSPACE ControlDesk 2.5p6 July 2006 Last-Minute Information ====================================================================== Copyright (c) 2006 dSPACE GmbH, Germany Contents: 1. General 2. Problems Fixed by This Patch 3. Limitations 4. Installing the Patch ====================================================================== 1. General ---------------------------------------------------------------------- This patch can only be installed on the existing ControlDesk 2.5 or 2.5.1 or 2.5.5 or 2.5.6 installation (dSPACE Release 4.1). It also contains previous patches for these ControlDesk versions. 2. Problems Fixed by This Patch ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - Signal names in IDF file are now properly ordered. - Python module "cdautomationlib": the methods cdautomationlib.VariableBrowser().ShowVariable(PathName) cdautomationlib.VariableBrowser().HighlightVariable(PathName) return now 1, if given variable has been found (previously 0, although given variable has been found and displayed/highlighted correctly). - Python module "cdautomationlib": multiple creation and destroying of rtp.Capture objects does not produce memory leaks any more. - Interface of the Python interpreter is now properly reference counted. - Licensing of CANAPE connection fixed: error on A2L-file access is no more reported. - The problem with long server names for "Remote Connection" on "Change connection" dialog solved: the edit field "Server name/address:" accepts now computer names as well as numerical IP addresses. - ControlDesk does not crash on animation start any more, when loading a SDF file makes current connections invalid. - Error-report "Invalid index" is no more displayed, when a vector variable has been double-clicked with the mouse in the show-list of Parameter Editor: it displays now the selected vector properly. - Parameter Editor shows now the last entry of a vector properly. - Parameter Editor does not generate duplicated type definitions any more. - It happens no more that very long and very fast captures are incomplete i.e. that certain amount of data is not appended to the capture sequence. - Logging messages consumes no more a lot of memory, when an application was downloaded using the command-line tool "scoutcmd". - The problem of wrong value conversion has been fixed (in certain cases, conversion formulas, given in a TRC-file, were improperly interpreted). - With multiprocessor systems consisting of 3 or more processor boards, it could happen that wrong time intervals are captured for single CPUs. Data from all the processor boards are now properly time-stamped. 3. Limitations ---------------------------------------------------------------------- No known limitations 4. Installing the Patch ---------------------------------------------------------------------- To install the patch, you must be logged on with administrator rights. Ensure that the active installation referenced by %DSPACE_ROOT% contains ControlDesk 2.5 or one of the above described ControlDesk Versions, see Chapter "1. General". If you are unsure, start dSPACE Installation Manager and check whether the proper ControlDesk Version appears in the list of installed products for the active installation. To install this patch, simply run ControlDesk25p6.exe. The setup automatically locates and patch the active dSPACE installation. After this patch is applied, the version of ControlDesk on the splash screen and in the About box is enhanced with the current patch version. E.g. if you have installed dSPACE Release 4.1 for MATLAB R13.x. ControlDesk 2.5 or ControlDesk 2.5p5 is set to ControlDesk 2.5p6. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- End of File
