1. General

This patch can be installed only after the installation of 
dSPACE Release 5.2. 


2. Problems Fixed by This Patch
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When you update to dSPACE Release 5.2 and reopen your existing model, 
the RTICAN Controller Setup blocks in the model determine wrong values 
for the CAN controller frequencies and for the bit timing registers
BTR0 and BTR1. 
As a result, CAN communication on the related CAN controllers will be 
corrupt.

The patch fixes the problem described above.


3. Limitations and Workaround
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The patch fixes the problem described above only if you have not yet 
opened and saved the Simulink® model after upgrading to 
dSPACE Release 5.2. Otherwise, use the workaround described here:

Workaround 
If you opened and saved the Simulink® model after upgrading to 
dSPACE Release 5.2 and before installing the patch, you must use this 
workaround:
1. Open the related Simulink® model.
2. Open an RTICAN Controller Setup block. On the block’s Unit page,
reset the baud rate to its original value. As an alternative, toggle
the Standard Configuration/ Advanced Configuration radio
button, then reset the button to its original setting.
3. Check that the correct frequency is displayed on the Unit page.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for all RTICAN Controller Setup blocks in your
model, then save the model.


4. Installing the Patch
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To install the patch, you must be logged on with administrator rights.

Ensure that the active installation referenced by %DSPACE_ROOT%
is the dSPACE Release 5.2 and contains RTICAN Blockset 2.6.1.

To install this patch, simply run rtican261p1.exe. The setup
will automatically locate and patch the active dSPACE installation.
