1. General
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This PlugIn can be installed on an existing Release 5.2 installation
which includes at least the RTIRPCU blockset or the RTLib1603.


2. New Features introduced by this PlugIn
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This PlugIn

* installs the new RTI block RPCU_SCTC81_DATA for measuring
  temperatures with the SC-TC 8/1 module

* extends the RTLib1603 library by initialization- and access
  functions for the SC-TC 8/1 module


3. Limitations
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A minor problem was detected after this PlugIn had been released:

* Acitvation of the dSPACE HelpDesk using the new RTI block's
  help button does not work correctly.
  Hence, for documentation regarding the new block, either

  * refer to chapter "Implementing RTI Software for RapidPro System
    used as I/O Subsystem" in the document
    %DPSACE_ROOT%\Doc\Print\RapidProScTc81_PlugIn.pdf,

  * or activate the dSPACE HelpDesk via the Windows Start menu:
    (Start->Programs->dSPACE Tools->dSPACE HelpDesk)
    Then browse to the following chapter:
    "Implementation"->
      "RapidPro System - I/O Subsystem Implementation Documents"->
        "RapidPro System - I/O Subsystem MPC565 RTI Reference"->
          "Measuring Temperatures with the SC-TC 8/1 Module"


Apart from that, in the documentation of the new RTLib1603 functions
(located in document %DSPACE_ROOT%\Doc\Print\RapidProScTc81_PlugIn.pdf),
the following information is missing:

A task triggered by a serial receiver interrupt (caused by reception
of measurement results from the SC-TC 8/1 module) has to contain at
least one call of the function Ds1603SerIoScTc81_read(). Otherwise,
the task will be executed in an infinite loop.


4. Installation
----------------------------------------------------------------------
To install the PlugIn, please follow the instructions listed in the
document InstallationNotes_ScTc81.pdf

Note that you must be logged on as an administrator in order to
perform the installation procedure.
