1. General
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This patch can only be installed on an existing SystemDesk 1.1
installation (dSPACE Release 6.2).


2. Problems Fixed by This Patch
----------------------------------------------------------------------

a. Important remark concerning semantics of RTE generation in 
   SystemDesk 1.1:
   
   - The RTE Generator Module of SystemDesk 1.0 and 1.1 uses the 
     AUTOSAR-2.0-Semantics of the isService-Flag of port interfaces. 
     This means, ports with isService=true are automatically connected 
     to each other even when no explicit connectors have been modeled. 
     This is different to the AUTOSAR-2.1-Semantics where explicit 
     Service-Connectors have to be specified. 
     If you want the AUTOSAR-2.1-Sematics you have to set the isService 
     flag of all interfaces to false.

b. AUTOSAR-Import:

   - import of empty MEASURABLEs is now possible
   
   - improved error messages

c. AUTOSAR-Export:

   - no more empty PORT-API-OPTION XML tag

   - init values of data elements (ComSpecs) will be exported again, 
     when a system is exported to AUTOSAR-2.1

   - automatically generated SHORT-NAMES are limited to at most 32 
     characters

   - ECU configurations in an own package are no longer exported together 
     with the referencing system

   - internal behavior is now exported properly for service components.

   - constants for arrays with size 1 are now exported properly.

d. RTE related:

   - two runnables with write access to a remote data element is now 
     possible

   - bug fixes concerning exclsuive areas

e. SystemDesk-XML-Format:

   - bug fix concerning export of OSEvent-Mappings

f. Automation:

   - the validation using Python rules now works also if the validation is 
     started from within a Python script

g. Tutorial: 
   
   - explicit communication is used for queued signal “event” at SWC 
     WarnLightSensor (previous version used implicit communication)

h. Other Bug fixes:
   - double click in empty code file list did raise a crash

   - in some cases SystemDesk did crash when adding an internal behavior

   - license handling now works when ModelCompare and SystemDesk are running
     an parallel

   - database timeout problem fixed

   - validation of init values for basetype uint8 now works correctly


3. Limitations
----------------------------------------------------------------------

No known limitations of this patch.


4. Installing the Patch
----------------------------------------------------------------------

To install the patch, you must be logged on with administrator rights.

To install this patch, simply run SystemDesk11_patch20080822.exe. The 
setup will automatically locate and patch the SystemDesk installation.

After this patch is applied, the installed patch is shown in the 
About box and the Message Browser.
